Podcast: Hariri’s resignation, earthquake in Iran, and a coalition deal with IS in Raqqa

Sa’ad Hariri’s sudden resignation from his post as Prime Minister of Lebanon – in a speech delivered from Saudi Arabia on November 4th – sparked tension and confusion in the region. We report on what we know about the resignation, and what the significance is for the Saudi Arabia – Iran rivalry.

A 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck the remote border area between Iraq and Iran on Sunday, killing over 500 people.

And, a BBC investigation revealed that the US and British-led coalition struck a deal with IS fighters in Raqqa, allowing them to flee the city.
