At the beginning of March the Harvard Kennedy School once again hosted the university’s European Conference, a two day forum for policy and business ideas to take Europe forward.
The conference now running for over 10 years was organized by undergraduate & graduate students at Harvard University and the Fletcher School. As usual it was attended by some of the most important figures on the European political scene was a near sell-out.
Notable figures to speak included Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council with João Vale de Almeida, EU Ambassador to the United States and as Joaquín Almunia, VP of the European Commission. Others speakers included Vesna Pusić, Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Jan Muehlfeit, Chairman of Microsoft Europe.
The Harvard Kennedy School faculty was well attended with the likes of Muriel Rouyer, Howard Wolk and Marco Magnani moderating panels.
