BUSS operates to ensure supplies do not go wasted, and schools in need have the resources required to best serve their students. What we do: We do this by soliciting supplies from affluent schools and businesses and recycling those supplies by transporting them to schools with fewer resources.
It’s pretty simple. We find schools and businesses in the New York/New Jersey area that are disposing of new or gently used supplies, arrange pick up of the items, and transport them to schools who could use these supplies. In the past, we have distributed such items as cafeteria tables, computer software, science lab materials, and classroom book sets.
